Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work with comprehensive financial transaction datasets, transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive investment decisions and shape market strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver insights that support business objectives.
- Extract, clean, and analyze financial transaction data from PostgreSQL databases
- Develop Python scripts for data processing and advanced analytics
- Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex financial trends
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear and impactful reports and dashboards.
- Work with diverse transaction datasets including:
- Insider Transactions
- European Short Selling Registries
- Form 144 Transactions
- US Politician Transactions
- Share Buyback Transactions
Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced PostgreSQL database querying and management
- Proficient Python programming
- Data analysis and manipulation using:
- Pandas
- NumPy
- SQLAlchemy
- Data visualization tools:
- Tableau
- Power BI
- Matplotlib
- Seaborn
- Statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
